Review of Popular Email Backup Services

While most online backup services will backup your email, it can be tricky. For that reason, some people prefer to have a separate service just for their email backups.

Here are some options:

Xack Mail

Xack Mail offers very simple online email backup in real-time. It's a 1-click backup and a 1-click restore solution so there are no complex setup or selection of emails and accounts. It works with Microsoft Outlook and Apple Mail 2.0.

It's low-priced at just $2 a month. (But remember, Carbonite offers full online backup services for just $5 per month.)

Adolix E-mail Backup

Adolix Email Backup is a powerful software that will backup your email if you are using one of the following email clients: Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook, Incredimail or Eudora. It backs up email data such as accounts settings, mail folders, signatures, message rules, address book and stationary.

You can choose to backup a single identity or all of the identities on your computer.

The built in scheduler allows you to select what email client to backup and specific details for each one. Everything is then saved to a single archive that can be protected by a password. You can even backup your email to an FTP server.

It's $25 for basic Outlook Express backup, and $37 for full-featured version. A 15 day trial is available.

Right Email Backup

This software backs up your email. It is designed for scheduled backups with MS Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Netscape Messenger, IncrediMail, PocoMail, The Bat!, and Opera Mail. (It looks quite a bit like Adolix.)
